The mission of the Department of Public Works is to ensure proactive custody and management of the transportation, utility and facility infrastructure through comprehensive, coordinated long-range planning and the implementation of quality, cost conscious maintenance, repairs and construction necessary to ensure public safety and the quality of life for the citizens of and visitors to our City.
To ensure proper environmental stewardship through quality solid waste, recycling, storm water management, and sewage treatment and disposal services. To ensure public health by providing quality water production and distribution services. To ensure cost effective and efficient fleet management and maintenance services.
