Mission: Provide leadership oversight for all activities accomplished by the Department; support the City Manager, City Council, Department Heads, Boards, Commissions and Committees on matters related to public works; manage the Cemetery Trust Funds; and provide cemetery location and genealogy support when requested.
Services Provided: Leadership oversight for all Public Works functions, services and activities; coordinates long-term planning for infrastructure maintenance, repair and construction; assists the City Manager and Finance Director with the development, preparation and execution of the annual Capital Improvement Program; provides the City Manager, City Council, Planning Board and general public with technical assistance on public property issues; and provides management of the Cemetery Trust Fund.

- Ensure highest and best use of resources assigned to the Department.
- Improve the condition of the City's infrastructure and enhance service delivery in order to provide a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment.
- Ensure timely, cost effective execution of the Capital Improvement Program.
